North Island New Zealand Members throughout the North Island of New Zealand took part in the quarterly held Family Day and Sportsfest Event at the Lagoon Leisure Centre on October 22, 2018 (Labour Day in New Zealand). Various types of recreational activities, revolving around the theme “Labours of Love“, were held throughout the day. Not only did the brethren partake in the activities, they also had the chance to converse and interact with brethren from distant locale chapters. The brethren were split into four different teams, each having specific team colours (Red Team, Green Team, Blue team and the Gold Team). Even though the teams are different and the colours vary, the brethren are still one in spirit. Before officially commencing the event, brethren participated in the warm-up Zumba exercise to lift the spirits of the brethren. Throughout the day, brethren partook in various recreational sports activities prepared beforehand which included Zumba, Follow the Leader, Patintero, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Basketball The KNC (Kawan Ng Cordero) were also able to participate in the games prepared for them which included Chinese Garter and other various Filipino Games. Brethren who were present were able to actively participate and experience the event. As it is written in Hebrews 10:24, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”, together as one body, we must uphold the value of love. Love will always prevail if you have faith in God, if you strive hard in spirit and most importantly if you do good deeds. To God Be The Glory! Written by: Bro. John Gabriel Alovera
Christchurch, New Zealand “Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” - Hebrews 13:15 - 16 (ESV) Time is indeed so fast that we are now on our 3rd Quarter of International Thanksgiving which is scheduled on October 5, 6 and 7. With what we have learned from the teachings of the bible that in preparation for each thanksgiving we do good works, the brethren from the locale of Christchurch in their own way, took part in the said preparation, especially those who are members of the different ministries inside the church which include: The Christchurch Artist Guild, with their creativity, they enthusiastically designed the Locale with the purpose of inspiring and uplifting the mood of everyone through their artistic decorations. The Christchurch Youth Ministry volunteered in cleaning the whole locale such as disinfecting the toilet, vacuuming the carpet, furnishing the hall, cleaning and organizing the kitchen. The Teatro Kristiano and Music Ministry have been practicing their respective songs and dance presentations in preparation for the thanksgiving. Other committees such as the Photoville International, the UNTV News and Rescue team, Children Ministry and Locale Officers and Medical Team had individual group meetings and planning as well. All brethren are so busy preparing for this gracious occasion. Excited to sing praises to and to Glorify the Almighty God. As written in Psalms 92:1 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:" King James Version (KJV) Written by: Sister Eden Pusag
