 The mission to help those in need and those with nothing left in their lives, may it be livelihood, financial and social status, the Members Church of God International (MCGI) New Zealand will never cease to continue what has been started by Brother Eliseo Soriano and Brother Daniel S. Razon with God’s help and mercy. This special event entitled “The Legacy Continues” was kickstarted as a welfare outreach program to those in need as what Brother Eliseo F. Soriano had in mind and what he had left behind. Members from all over the world were saddened by the news that our preacher, Brother Eliseo F. Soriano had passed away but in God’s perfect time. While doing God’s work, preaching non-stop to reach even the farthest regions of this planet, he hadn’t ceased to stop propagating the Word of God and he did so ‘till his last breath. Giving people hope despite an ongoing pandemic during these treacherous times and never ceasing to do good unto all men, he had left behind Brother Daniel S. Razon, a faithful leader that will continue the advocacy of doing good to all especially those in need. Although he may not be physically present in our midst, he is and will always be present in our hearts as we continue his legacy with God’s help. Members from all over New Zealand gathered to pack, sort and distribute for two different sub-programs that are part of Brother Eli’s Legacy - the MCGI Feeding Program and the MCGI Free Store. These were held in different locations and in different days to coincide with the Worldwide week-long event of “The Legacy Continues” paving the way of good works while spreading His gospel through this advocacy. Reaching out to fellowmen with little to nothing left, meals and groceries were packed to be given out and spread the good news of this special event. As it is written in Acts 20:35 (ASV) “In all things I gave you an example. That so laboring ye ought to help the weak. And to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said. It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Which is the basis of this event’s mission and virtue to do good unto all men especially the weak, for it is the will of God to help men of lower stature. As we continue to do good to all, just as what Brother Eliseo F. Soriano had left behind as a living memento to all men, the Members Church of God International will unceasingly and zealously continue what he had taught us. Passing the torch to the next generation of God’s servants, reaching out to even the poorest of the poor.
